To liberate matter
Sculptures first and foremost. The materials we use induce us to discover the shapes concealed within and our work is to enable them to emerge. Root wood, of course, conceal shapes and magical elements which, thanks to an attentive craftsmanship and sensitivity, generate some amazing shapes. Only vaguely similar to traditional forms, more often, to our own surprise, we find ourselves faced with some of the most unexpected shapes. Shapes liberated from matter.
